Wat Chalong is one of the most important Buddhist temples in  Phuket

There are about 29 Buddhist temples in Phuket , and wat Chalong is the biggest one
This temple is dedicated to tow highly honorable monks who  led the citizens of Chalong Subdistrict fighting against the Chinese rebellion in 1876

Big Buddha Phuket

Big Budha  ,located on the Nakkerd Hills between Chalong and Kata is a important and revered landmark

Big Buddha is the name of  one of the most remarkable landscapes of the Phuket Island in Thailand.
The Sight is located on the top of a hill which gives you a 360-degree view of  almost the entire Phuket island and as it expected from the name of this spot , there is a 45 meter marble  statue of Buddha on the top of the hill
The Buddhas statue  looks towards Phang Nga Bay in the east and backs towards Andaman Sea in the west
