  Most of festivals in    Laos are connected with Buddhist religion  and others are historical or traditional ceremonies

is called Bun which means blessing  

 There are a lots of different festal holidays goes on in Laos every year . Boon BangFai for instance in May or boat racing in October but  "Boon Tet" which is the Lao's new year , is the most important celebration of the year and takes place from April  13th to 16th
