Singapore Vesak Day

 

Vesak eve or  Buddha Purnima  is a  holy day observed traditionally by Buddhists in The Singapore


Vesak day indicates the birth,Nirvana (enlightments),and the Parinirvana(passing away)of Gautama Buddha.It is a very special day for Singapore buddhist people , they spent their time praying in temples and doing good deeds , like releasing birds and animals which is a symbolic act of giving freedom to those who are in captivity The main custom however takes place in the temples where people bring offerings like flowers or candles to lay at the
foot of Buddhas statue to gratitude their spiritual teacher
